Hi, we’re entering July now! What do you plan so far for the Q3? Did you complete your check lists on the first 2020 semester? I hope it didn’t harm you if you don’t. Hoping you start this month fresh and with open arms. Don’t forget to count your blessings.. or if it’s too many, count your friends, aren’t they the same?
On our last SalMonday episode, Sisca proposed us a theme to write our three most influential people in our lives. In case you missed it, click here.

I still remember the first time I didn’t go to office because of Covid-19. It was March when my boyfriend and I arrived from Bandung. Everything got so tense instantly! I didn’t go out at all from my kost unless to get my food deliveries and shopped once a week at nearby mini market. The security portal near to my kost had to be closed to prohibit local people from going outside.
All shopping centres and traditional markets stopped their operation temporarily, followed with most restaurants only provided take away and delivery services. To make ends meet, almost everyone shopped online. Every day my kost could receive almost 10-15 delivery packages! Beside shopping for daily needs, we also bought many kinds of new stuffs to try out while being stuck at home. Here are my best buys/findings:
Somethinc Niacinamide + Moisture Beet Serum
It has been a long long time I didn’t take care of my skin. It’s actually fine because my acne problem was solved! But the remaining marks from those pimples were hard to remove and it made my skin looked so dull. This particular product from a local brand (somethincofficial) gets a lot of positive reviews and its functions matches my skin problems. While writing this, I’m close to repurchase the third bottle. My skin is now moisturized, brighter, and less likely to get dry because my skin barrier is stronger, and most importantly, all those pimple marks are disguised! I’m so happy I have healthier skin!
Willow x Tokopedia

One day I woke up with pain in my shoulders and felt so dizzy during the day. Our bones and muscles must have got affected because in normal working days, we walk and sit a lot. One day someone promoted this pillow and got viral, but when I checked for its availability regularly, it’s always sold out! Honestly, this latex pillow from Willow Pillow was a birthday gift from my boyfriend haha, and he got himself one too! He was lucky enough to get these products because they are usually restocked in uncertain times. Since we use this, we never feel any pain when waking up and had really comfortable sleep!
Local foods

It’s so exciting because I got to explore and try many kinds of food! Every day I browsed a lot of restaurant selections from Grab/Go-food, although most of the time we ordered from reputable restaurants with high ratings. It’s fun to prove the foods tasted really good and promoted on social media because it means we supported local businesses! Here are lists of my best findings:
African Chicken from @parisdijakarta
The BFF cookie from @dough.lab
Dried Dendeng Balado (deep fried sliced-beef with spicy condiment) from @deringbalado
Cheese Burger and Shortplate Beef from @luberger.id
Salmon Mentai from @byanind and many more!
So what’s your best buys or findings during the Covid-19 situation?

Have you played Kokology before?

Kokology will take you on a very trippy path of self-discovery. Relying on a series of psychological and hypothetical questions, Kokology quizzes aim to reveal your hidden attitudes regarding family, love, sex, work, and life through "guided daydreams."
I read Kokology: More of the Game of Self Discovery 2 and will share you two games you can play. Some tips before wandering around:
Say the first thing that pops into your head. Be honest with yourself.
Play with other people if you can.
Don’t try to predict the answers. Enjoy the scenario!

Game 1
You fell in love with a particular music box at an antiques store, bought it on impulse, and took it home. Its melody is beautiful, but one day it suddenly stops playing.
How long after you bought the music box did it cease to play?
What do you think as you hold the broken music box in your hands?
Interpretation of game 1
The music box is a symbol of beauty and pleasure that is fated to come to an end. But it also represents the repetition of the same old tune over and over again. The way you perceived your antique music box shows some of your expectations from the pleasures of romance and the sense of how it may one day end.
The amount of time you thought the music box continued to play corresponds to your expectations of how long love will endure. Years? A few months? Two or three days? After all, it takes only a little tender loving care and the music should play forever.
The way you felt about the broken music box shows how you feel when a relationship has died. Did you shrug it off as inevitable and toss it in the trash? Mutter something about the poor quality of the workmanship and curse yourself for wasting your money? Maybe you resolved to go out shopping for a new one right away? Or did you try to think of a way to get it working again?

Game 2
You have landed an interview at the company of your first choice. On the day of your interview, you are called down to a meeting room and you see that you’re going to be interviewed by a team. What is the average age of the people on the panel of interviewers?
The interview is rigorous and thorough. You manage to field every question thrown at you, but one in particular leaves a strong impression. What is that question?
Just when you are beginning to relax and feel the job is in the bag, one of the interviewers begins to point out your shortcomings and weak points. What characteristics does your interviewer list among your faults?
That night, the phone rings. It’s the HR manager calling with an offer! What do you say in response?
Interpretation of game 2
The average age of your interviewers is the age of the person you see as your ideal partner. Is your ideal partner younger or same age or slightly older?
The question that sticks most in your mind is actually something you would secretly like to ask your lover or spouse.
“Why did you choose this company?” We’ve all wanted to ask, “Why did you pick me?”
“Tell us about your hobbies and interests.” Translation: “What do you do when I’m not around?”
“What makes you so interested in trying out this position?” That’s a loaded question, but sometimes one that needs to be asked.Your reply to the offer of employment shows how you would react to a marriage proposal. Is it “I can’t wait to get started”? Or “I’d like to think it over for a few days”? Or “Well, I’ve had a few other offers as well, so I’m going to take some time to weigh my options”?
